Patna maintain winning streak in BCA Senior Cricket Tournament

Patna: Patna continued its winning streak by defeating Saran by a huge margin of 120 runs in their second match of the BCA Senior Cricket Tournament.

In the third match of Pool A played at Moinul Haq Stadium, Patna, Patna won the toss and batted first and scored 229 runs after losing all the wickets in 44.2 overs. In reply, Saran were all out for 109 runs in 29.2 overs.

Batting first after winning the toss, Patna did not have a good start. Opener Piyush Kumar Singh returned to the pavilion without opening his account. After this, Animesh also could not support opener Kumar Rajneesh for long. Patna had lost two wickets for 18 runs.

After Animesh’s dismissal, Shlok came to bat and fully supported Kumar Rajneesh. There was a partnership of 68 runs between these two. Patna suffred third blow on the total of 86 runs as Shlok go our. Shlok scored 45 runs in 58 balls with the help of 8 fours. After this, Harsh Raj and Kumar Rajneesh took the inning forward.

Kumar Rajneesh scored 31 runs in 48 balls with the help of two fours. Later, Akash Raj and Harsh Raj together made a partnership of 45 runs. When the team score was 154 runs, Patna got the fifth blow in the form of Harsh Raj. Harsh Raj scored 31 runs in 40 balls with the help of 4 fours.

Yashasvi Shukla supported Akash Raj and together they took the innings to 205 runs. Patna got the sixth blow in the form of Yashasvi Shukla. Yashasvi Shukla scored 34 runs in 30 balls with the help of 6 sixes. Kumar Sahaj was out after scoring only 2 runs. Patna got its eighth blow in the form of Akash Raj on a total of 219 runs. Akash Raj was out after scoring 44 runs on 54 balls with the help of 6 fours. Suraj Kashyap also played an inning of 10 runs and the entire team was all out for 229 runs in 44.2 overs.

For Saran side, Praveen Kumar Singh took 4 wickets for 25 runs, Ashutosh Kumar took two wickets.

In reply, Patna’s bowlers did not allow Saran’s batsmen to stay on the wicket for long. Saran players failed in running between the wickets. Patna team fielded with complete agility and Saran batsmen got trapped in the spin of Apoorva Anand and Suraj Kashyap and the entire team was all out for 109 runs in 29.2 overs. Apoorva Anand took four wickets while Suraj Kashyap took two wickets.

For Saran, Trimbak Bhaskar scored 16 runs, Himanshu Sharma scored 18 runs, Aditya Singh scored 11 runs and Prashant Kumar Singh scored 17 runs.
