GAC record sixth consecutive win

Patna, May 15: Gardnibagh Athletic Club (GAC) continued their winning streak by defeating BHPCL by 6 wickets in their final league match in Patna District Senior Division Cricket League. This was the sixth consecutive win of GAC in 6 matches playing in Pool A and they were on top with a total of 12 points. The last league match of this pool will be played between Panchsheel CC vs BHPCL.

In the match played at the local Urja Stadium, BHPCL won the toss and decided to bat first. Due to excellent bolwing of GAC bowlers, BHPCL failed to score big and the entire team was all out for 129 runs in 23.2 overs. Siddhant Vijay scored 11, Abhilash Kumar 29, Parmeshwar Yadav 24, Hasnain scored 23 runs.

For GAC side, Pankaj, Shivam Singh Rajput, Kartik Pandey and Samrat Sunny took 2 wickets each.

In reply, GAC team won the match by scoring 133 runs for 4 wickets in 18.1 overs. Anmol Kumar Boney scored 34, Abhishek Kumar 18, Vikas Krishna 41, Rishabh Raj scored 25 not out. 12 runs were scored from extra.

For BHPCL, Mukesh Kumar Sharma, Satish Rai and Ankesh took 1 wicket each. Pankaj of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
