Patna, May 15: Misa Bharti, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate for the Pataliputra Lok Sabha seat, has been actively engaged in an outreach campaign since filing her nomination. On Tuesday, she conducted extensive campaigning in numerous villages, appealing for votes.

During one of her meetings in the Karay panchayat area of Masaurhi, Bharti emphasized that her campaign was fundamentally about upholding the Constitution. She warned that failure to recognize this imperative would jeopardize the integrity of the Constitution. Bharti criticized the BJP’s slogan of “Abki Baar 400 Paar,” interpreting it as a direct threat to the Constitution.

Bharti, the daughter of RJD president Lalu Prasad, asserted that there is significant discontent among the populace towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She claimed that none of the promises made by the Prime Minister had materialized. In contrast, Bharti highlighted the accomplishments of Tejashwi Yadav during his tenure as deputy chief minister, citing the provision of government jobs to five lakh youths as evidence of the RJD’s commitment to governance and public welfare.

Expressing confidence in her campaign, Bharti stated that they are receiving widespread support from all sections of society, including the elderly, youth, and women. She reiterated the achievement of providing five lakh government jobs by Tejashwi Yadav, which she believes has bolstered people’s trust in the RJD.

Turning her attention to the incumbent Patliputra MP and BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav, Bharti called for a change in the constituency’s representation. She challenged Yadav, referring to him as “uncle Ramkripal Yadav,” to account for his performance over the past decade as MP. Bharti criticized Yadav for allegedly failing to utilize several crores of rupees from the MP fund for the constituency’s development, dismissing his claims of progress as unsubstantiated.
