Patna: In the pre-quarterfinals of the 67th Junior National Ball Badminton Championship being played at Murtijapur (Maharashtra), Bihar beat Chhattisgarh 35-19, 35-17 and entered the quarter-finals of the boys’ section.
Giving this information, Gouri Shankar, secretary of Bihar Ball Badminton Association, said that in the girls’ category match, Bihar defeated Chhattisgarh and entered the quarter-finals. Earlier, in the first league match of Pool ‘E’ of the boys’ category, Bihar defeated Gujarat 35-09,35-14, Delhi 35-10,35-16 and Odisha 29-35,35- 22,35-25 and in the fourth match Bihar beat Goa to emerge the pool champion.
Chhotu, Shashank, Bittu, Kundan, Ashish Ojha showed a brilliant game for Bihar in the boys’ category while in the girls section, captain Vandana, Kashish, Muskaan, Kajal, Geeta performed well for Bihar.
