Siwan Titans Clinch Final Berth in Bihar Women’s Kabaddi League 2024

Patna, June 16: The inaugural Bihar Women’s Kabaddi League 2024, held from June 10 to June 16 at Patliputra Indoor Stadium, saw the Siwan Titans shine in the first qualifier match against the Saran Strikers on Saturday evening. With a close 20-18 victory, the Titans secured their place in the final.

Siwan Titans’ Ashika Shandilya was named the best raider with 4 raid points, and her teammate Mani Kumari was recognized as the best defender with 6 tackle points. Saran Strikers still have a chance to reach the final as they will face the winner of the first eliminator match.

In today’s first eliminator match, Patna Pelicans triumphed over Nalanda Ninjas with a score of 26-14, earning another opportunity to reach the final.

Friday evening featured a thrilling match between Saran Strikers and Siwan Titans, which ended in a 15-15 tie, the league’s third tie. Shivani Kumari of Saran Strikers was the best raider with 3 raid points, and Pratibha Kumari of the same team was the best defender with 5 tackle points.

In another encounter, Nalanda Ninjas showcased their skills by defeating Magadh Warriors 30-26. Sundar Kumari of Magadh Warriors emerged as the best raider with 13 raid points, while Mansi Kumari of Nalanda Ninjas was the best defender with 2 tackle points.

The match between Sitamarhi Sentinels and Patna Pelicans was highly competitive, with Patna Pelicans clinching a 24-21 victory to advance to the semi-finals. Despite the loss, Rajni Kumari of Sitamarhi Sentinels was the best raider with 6 raid points, and Lakshmi Kumari was the best defender with 5 tackle points.

After 30 matches, the top four teams in the points table are Siwan Titans with 39 points, Saran Strikers with 36 points, Nalanda Ninjas with 30 points, and Patna Pelicans with 28 points.
