Patna: A large queue of players was witnessed at the second selection trial held at Super Over Cricket Club in Mithila Colony, Digha, for the formation of teams to compete in the fifth season of the Casa Picolla School Cricket League Under-15 , organised by Turning Point. A total of 229 players participated in the trial.
The event was inaugurated by Patna Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Reshmi Chandravanshi and Empowered Committee member Indradeep Chandravanshi, who interacted with the players and extended their best wishes.
The trial was conducted under the supervision of Technical Director Saurabh Chakraborty, with Suman Agarwal leading the process. Selectors Hamid Ansari, Kundan, Prince, and Yatendra were present to assess the players.
Organising Secretary Naveen Kumar stated that the trial evaluated players’ skills in batting, bowling, wicketkeeping, and overall fitness. He also honoured the guests by presenting them with mementoes.
Organising President Vijay Sharma expressed delight at the enthusiastic turnout. He remarked, “Our campaign is bearing fruit as talented players are stepping forward. We anticipate an even larger turnout in the upcoming trials.” He announced that the third selection trial is scheduled for 29th December at SDV School, Kurthaul.
Trial in-charge Sumit Sharma outlined the eligibility criteria, emphasising that participants must be students of schools in Patna district and must bring their Aadhaar card, birth certificate, and school enrolment certificate to the trial venue. He also stated that external interference on behalf of any player would lead to disqualification.
