Patna: In the final of the Shailendra Kumar Memorial Under-15 Inter-School Cricket Tournament, Super Over Cricket Academy will compete against Sardar Patel Cricket Academy. The tournament, sponsored by Casa Picolla Restaurant and organised under the auspices of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation, saw both teams secure their places in the final after impressive performances in the semi-finals.
In the first semi-final, Super Over Cricket Academy triumphed over Triumphant Cricket Academy by 12 runs. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Super Over Cricket Academy posted a total of 162 runs for nine wickets in 16.5 overs. In response, Triumphant Cricket Academy were bowled out for 150 runs in 25 overs. Animesh Raj of the winning team was awarded the Player of the Match for his outstanding contribution.
The second semi-final featured Sardar Patel Cricket Academy and Learning School of Cricket. Sardar Patel Cricket Academy won the toss and chose to bat first, amassing a formidable total of 258 runs for four wickets in 25 overs, thanks largely to a magnificent 119-run innings by Jai Shri Ram. In reply, Learning School of Cricket were dismissed for 213 runs in 23.1 overs. Jai Shri Ram was named Player of the Match for his match-winning performance.
