Bihar to host two national Kabaddi tournaments in March

Patna: Two national Kabaddi tournaments will be organized in Bihar in March. One event is organized before Holi and the other after Holi. One tournament was organized in the state capital, Patna and the other outside the state capital.

The National Sub-Junior Boys Kabaddi Tournament will be organized from March 16 to March 19 at GD Goenka Public School, Motihari. The competition will be hosted by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association. Preparations for this tournament are being done by the East Champaran District Kabaddi Association under the supervision of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association.

After about 21 years, a national Kabaddi championship is being organized outside of Patna. Earlier, the National Kabaddi Championship was organized in Darbhanga in a spectacular manner in severe cold. Apart from this, National Beach Kabaddi was once organized in Gaya. For the first time after the construction of the Patilputra Sports Complex, the National Kabaddi Championship is being organized outside Patna. This complex was inaugurated with the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup. After this, many national Kabaddi competitions from sub-junior to senior have been organized here.

Organizing the national Kabaddi tournament outside Patna will increase the promotion of Kabaddi in Bihar. People of Motihari and other nearby districts will get the opportunity to watch the matches of the National Kabaddi Tournament, and this is likely to increase people’s interest in Kabaddi.

At present, Bihar is the champion of the National Sub Junior Kabaddi. In the boys category of the National Sub Junior Kabaddi Championship held in Bokaro for the session 2022-23, the players of Bihar had achieved the honor of becoming champions by defeating Haryana. Being the host, the players of Bihar will try their best to repeat this performance in the presence of the home crowd. Preparations for which have been made by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association. This time, apart from the state teams, the SAI team will also participate, hence, the competition is likely to be tough.

The National Sub Junior Kabaddi Championship for the girls will be organized at Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna. This event will be organized after Holi, from March 31 to April 3.
