Bihar maintain winning streak in 33rd National Sub Junior Girls Kabaddi Championship

Patna: Bihar continued to maintain its winning streak in the 33rd National Sub Junior Girls Kabaddi Championship. On the second day of this ongoing championship in the indoor hall of the local Patliputra Sports Complex, Bihar defeated Bengal 48-20 in its second match.

The match was inaugurated by Raveendran Sankaran, Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority. Sankaran encouraged the Bihar team during the match. Bihar State Kabaddi Association Secretary Kumar Vijay Singh welcomed him.

In the Bihar vs Bengal match, Bihar players defeated the visiting team in every field. Bihar was leading 26-7 in the first half. In the second half, Bengal tried its best to make a comeback and scored a total of 13 points. Bihar scored 22 points in the second half and won the match by a margin of 48-20. Captain Khushi Kumari, Pratibha Kumari, Shreya Kumari, Anushka Kumari, Mani Kumari from Bihar played brilliantly.

In other matches played so far, Uttar Pradesh defeated Andhra Pradesh 67-30, Assam defeated Andhra Pradesh 45-27, Chandigarh defeated Tripura 40-3, Karnataka defeated Odisha 48-33, Goa defeated Bengal 44-16, Rajasthan defeated Madhya Pradesh. SAI 62-24, Telangana defeated Jammu and Kashmir 73-22, Rajasthan defeated Manipur 44-9, Haryana defeated SAI 31-33, UP defeated Assam 30-18. Gujarat vs SAI match was drawn 26-26, Uttaranchal vs Maharashtra match was drawn at 68-68 and Himachal vs Manipur match was tied at 28-28.

Today’s matches were inaugurated by state association officials Kuldeep Dalal, Vipin Kumar Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Motilal, Kishan Lal, Bansat Sharma and other dignitaries. Everyone was welcomed by Kumar Vijay Singh, Secretary of Bihar State Kabaddi Association.
