Patna: The Softball Association of Bihar has taken a major step to further empower its coaches and umpires and is organizing a five-day camp in Patna from July 29
Giving this information, association president Gautam Kanodia said that coaches and umpires from different districts of Bihar will participate in this camp which will be conducted from July 29 to August 2 at Patliputra Sports Complex. He told that we are getting full cooperation from LR Maurya, secretary, Softball Federation of India and Praveen Anokar, CEO.
Association’s joint secretary Rupak Kumar said that the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony of the seminar would be Raveendra Shankaran, Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority. Assistant secretary of the association Bipin Kumar has been made the coordinator of this entire programme.
He said that the coaches and umpires will be given theoretical and practical information by Softball Association of India chief umpire Laxman Singh Gehlaut, chief coach Prasanna Kumar, NIS athletics coach Abhishek Kumar, IIT Patna sports officer Dr. Karunesh Kumar and sports physio Manish Kumar.
Rupak said that the seminar for coaches and umpires of softball is being organised for the first time in Bihar.
