Patna: Bihar started their campaign with a win in the first match in the 52nd Senior Women’s National Handball Championship organized under the aegis of Handball Federation of India at Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Bihar team, included in Pool D of the tournament, began its campaign by defeating Andhra Pradesh 21-6 in the first match of the pool on Sunday.
According to information received from Bihar team coach Varun Kumar, Playing under the leadership of Radha Kumari, Mansi scored the 6 goals for Bihar team while Sushma scored 4 and Rachna scored 3 goals. Rohini, Priya, Simran, Komal, Kismat also registered goals in their names.
Other players including goalkeeper Nidhi strengthened the team by performing better. The second match of the pool will be played against Uttarakhand on Monday. On the better performance of Bihar women’s team Bihar Handball Association congratulated the team.
