Thrilling Encounters Light Up BCA Men’s Senior One Day Trophy Tournament 

Patna: The BCA Men’s Senior One Day Trophy Tournament, organised by the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), witnessed a series of exhilarating matches today. Saharsa, Bhojpur, Gopalganj, Sitamarhi, Bhagalpur, and Katihar emerged victorious in their respective clashes, showcasing stellar performances with both bat and ball.

1. Bhagalpur vs Banka (Sandish Compound, Bhagalpur)

Bhagalpur won by 150 runs

Bhagalpur posted a commanding total of 344/7 in 50 overs. Sachin Kapildev Bhardwaj led the charge with a solid 75 off 96 balls, including 7 fours. Sachin Dilip Kumar remained unbeaten on 74 off 55 balls, smashing 7 fours and 2 sixes, while Mayank Krishna Chaudhary contributed a brisk 64 off 48 balls, featuring 8 fours and 3 sixes.

In reply, Banka were bowled out for 194 in 34.4 overs. Puneet Yadav’s explosive 91 off 59 balls, including 10 fours and 5 sixes, was the highlight, but it wasn’t enough. Raghavendra Pratap Singh (44) and captain Himanshu Sudama Singh (27) also chipped in.

Bhagalpur’s bowlers dominated, with Sachin Dilip Kumar claiming 4/32 in 8.4 overs, Bhanu Devendra Kumar taking 3/49, and Abhishek Harikishore Kumar bagging 2 wickets. For Banka, captain Himanshu Sudama Singh picked up 3/49, while Rashid Raza, Navneet, and Puneet claimed a wicket each.

2. Sitamarhi vs Sheohar (Janaki Stadium, Sitamarhi)

Sitamarhi won by 263 runs

Sitamarhi amassed a mammoth 368/7 in 50 overs, thanks to centuries from Vipul Rakesh Kumar Krishna (123 off 81 balls, 9 fours, 9 sixes) and Priyanshu Vinod Kumar (101 off 100 balls, 12 fours). Vaibhav Vivek Mishra added a quickfire 44 off 28 balls.

Sheohar crumbled to 105 all out in 25.3 overs. SN Jha (25) and Shubham S Kumar (28) offered some resistance, but Rohit Udayshankar Upadhyay’s sensational 7/26 in 9.3 overs, including 2 maidens, dismantled the innings. Captain Rajesh Kumar Jha and Kaushal Sunil Kumar also contributed with 2 and 1 wicket respectively.

For Sheohar, Rahul K Kumar took 4/59, while captain Jahangir Alam claimed 3/64.

3. Bhojpur vs Buxar (Maharaja College Ground, Ara)

Bhojpur won by 243 runs

Bhojpur set a formidable total of 333/6 in 50 overs. Prakash Kumar Singh (76 off 71 balls), captain Aniket Raj (75 off 82 balls), and Hriday Nand Singh (51 off 33 balls) were the standout performers.

Buxar were bundled out for 90 in 21 overs. Arun Kumar Yadav (27) and Chandan Kumar (20) tried to steady the ship, but Vivek Devendra Yatharth’s 4/34 in 6 overs, along with Aniket Vashisht Singh and Paramjeet Singh’s 2 wickets each, sealed the win.

For Buxar, Jaikumar Yadav took 3/69, while Prakash Mithilesh Kumar and Amitosh Janardan Thakur claimed 2 and 1 wicket respectively.

4. Katihar vs Purnia (Vidya Vihar Cricket Ground, Purnia)

Katihar won by 29 runs

Katihar posted 285/8 in 50 overs, with Khalid Alam (65 off 75 balls), Ashwani Kumar (39 off 39 balls), and Abhishek Kumar (37 off 69 balls) leading the charge.

Purnia fought hard but fell short, scoring 256 in 48.2 overs. Bhaskar Dubey’s magnificent 130 off 122 balls, including 15 fours and 1 six, was the highlight, but Katihar’s bowlers held their nerve. Khalid Alam and Ashwani Kumar took 3 wickets each, while Ayush Kumar and Hazrat Ali chipped in with 2 and 1 wicket respectively.

For Purnia, Shakleen Mustaq claimed 3/37, while Kafeel Ahmed, Manzar Alam, and Bhaskar Dubey took a wicket each.

5. Siwan vs Gopalganj (JP Sinha Stadium, Vaishali)

Gopalganj won by 3 wickets

Siwan set a competitive total of 279 in 49 overs, thanks to Pawan Kumar Rai’s brilliant 139 off 113 balls, featuring 12 fours and 5 sixes. Captain Sonu Kumar Gupta (37) and Ravi Kumar Sharma (36) also contributed.

Gopalganj chased down the target in 49.2 overs, finishing at 284/7. Aryan Raj (66), captain Utkarsh Singh (57), and Bikash Chaudhary (55) played crucial knocks. Rahul Raj Giri (3/40) and Sachin Kumar Singh (2/39) were the pick of the bowlers for Gopalganj.

For Siwan, Prince Shahi and Chandan Kumar Yadav took 2 wickets each, while Tariq and Shabbir claimed 1 wicket apiece.

6. Begusarai vs Saharsa (HURL Cricket Ground, Bihat)

Begusarai won by 170 runs

Begusarai posted a massive 358/7 in 50 overs, powered by captain Danish Alam’s unbeaten 100 off 86 balls (8 fours, 3 sixes). Suman Vijay Raj (71) and Murari Rajendra Kumar (52) also played key roles.

Saharsa managed 188/9 in 36 overs. Suraj Sanay Rai Yadav (27) and Aniket Virendra Kumar Verma Raj (24) were the top scorers. Nishit Kamal Kumar (3/32) and Prithvi Shobhit Raj (2 wickets) led Begusarai’s bowling attack.

For Saharsa, Zafar Imam and Shahil Raj took 2 wickets each, while Krishna, Puraskar, and Ravi Kaushal claimed 1 wicket apiece.
