Patna: In the first match of Pool E of the men’s category of the 69th Senior National Ball Badminton Championship being played in Gadchiroli (Maharashtra), Bihar defeated Himachal Pradesh 35-14,35-17, Gujarat 35-27,35-31 and Chandigarh 35-30,33-35,35-31 to enter the pre-quarterfinals.
Giving this information, Bihar Ball Badminton Association Secretary Gouri Shankar said that in the league match of Pool “A” of women’s category, Bihar team lost to Tamil Nadu by 35-25,35-21. Whereas in another match, Bihar got a walk over against Puducherry. For Bihar, captain Deepak Prakash Ranjan, Rahul Kumar, Ankit Sharma, Vinod Kumar, Sunny Kumar performed well.
