Patna: Adhikari XI and YMCC emerged victorious in the Patna District Senior Division Cricket League being played under the aegis of Patna District Cricket Association. Adhikari XI defeated Secretariat Sports by a huge margin of 196 runs while YMCC defeated Rising Star CC by 4 wickets.
In this match, Akash Raj played an unbeaten innings of 100 runs for Adhikari XI. Rajnikanth (84 runs) and Ayan Ghosh (56 runs) played half-century innings. For Secretariat Sports Prabhakar Kumar took 5 wickets and Sachin Kumar took 4 wickets. Rajkumar Devnath scored 36 runs and took 3 wickets for Secretariat Sports.
Aman Raj (60 runs), Govind Kumar (74 runs not out) played half-century innings for Rising Star. Rishabh Rakesh scored (68 runs) and Virat Pandey scored (43 runs) for YMCC and they played an important role in the team’s victory.
In the match played at 22 Yard Cricket Academy, Adhikari XI won the toss and batting first scored 345 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 40 overs. Akash Raj scored unbeaten 100 runs with 11 fours and 4 sixes in 55 balls, Rajnikant scored 84 runs with 7 fours and 4 sixes in 72 balls, Ayan Ghosh scored 56 runs with 6 fours and 2 sixes in 54 balls. Rajkumar Devnath took 3 wickets for the Secretariat.
In reply, Secretariat Sports were all out for 149 runs in 30.2 overs due to the excellent bowling of Prabhakar Kumar (5 wickets) and Sachin Kumar (4 wickets) of Adhikari XI. Rajkumar Devnath scored 36, Ravi Arya scored 29, Yuvraj Kumar scored 29, Manav scored 26 runs. Sachin Kumar (34 runs, 4 wickets) of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
In the match played at Gennex Cricket Academy Ground, Rising Star CC won the toss and batting first scored 204 runs for 9 wickets in 40 overs. Aman Raj scored 60 runs with the help of 5 fours in 89 balls, Govind Kumar scored unbeaten 74 with the help of 7 fours and 4 sixes in 59 balls, Agastya scored 25, Animesh scored 14 runs.
Vipan, Rishabh Rakesh, Mohit, Suraj Kashyap, Satyam and Gaurav Raj took 1 wicket each from YMCC.
In reply, YMCC won the match by scoring 208 runs for 6 wickets in 38.3 overs. Amit scored 33 runs in 63 balls with 3 fours, Rishabh Rakesh scored 68 runs in 76 balls with 8 fours, Virat Pandey scored 43 runs in 42 balls with 4 fours and 1 six, Satyam scored unbeaten 26 runs in 17 balls with 2 fours and 1 six, Mohit Kumar scored unbeaten 14 runs. 17 runs were scored with the help of extras. Amit, Govind and Agastya took 1-1 wickets while Gulshan Kumar took 3 wickets.
