Bihar on verge of defeat against Madhya Pradesh in Col CK Nayudu Trophy

Patna: Bihar were on the verge of defeat against Madhya Pradesh in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy Under-23 cricket tournament. Bihar scored 90 runs in their first innings. Madhya Pradesh declared their first innings at 392 runs for 8 wickets. In the second innings, two wickets of Bihar have fallen for 40 runs. There are still two days of play left. On the basis of first innings of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar is still behind by 262 runs.

In this match being played on The Daly College ground of Indore, Madhya Pradesh started playing ahead by 21 runs for one wicket. On the second day, Bihar shocked Madhya Pradesh by falling two wickets in 12 runs. Anuj Raj first dismissed Sumit Kushwaha and then Akshat Raghuvanshi. Sumit Kushwaha scored 12 runs while Akshat returned without opening the account. After this, Aman Singh Solanki and Aniket Verma made a partnership of 55 runs and took the score to 87 runs. Shahid gave the fourth blow to Madhya Pradesh on the total of 87 runs. Aman Singh Solanki played an inning of 40 runs. After Aman was out, Sagar Solanki and Aniket Verma made a partnership of 150 runs. Aniket Verma became the victim of Suraj Kashyap on a personal score of 107 runs but Sagar Solanki stood firm and Madhya Pradesh declared the innings after scoring 392 runs for 8 wickets in 86.4 overs. Sagar Solanki played an unbeaten inning of 205 runs in 198 balls with the help of 24 fours and 8 sixes.

For Bihar, Anuj Raj took 3 wickets for 86 runs, Shahid took 1 wicket for 77 runs, Mayank Kumar took 2 wickets for 85 runs, Suraj Kashyap took 2 wickets for 68 runs.

Bihar’s second innings had a very bad start. Openers Harsh Raj Puru and Pratik Vats returned to the pavilion without opening their accounts. There were two setbacks on the team score of 1 run. Ankit Raj, the captain, and Ayush Loharuka have handled this stumbling. By the end of the second day’s play, Bihar had scored 40 runs for two wickets in 15 overs. Ankit Raj is playing with 25 runs and Ayush Loharuka is playing with 15 runs. For Madhya Pradesh, Aman Bhadoria took 2 wickets for 22 runs.
