Patna: Patna’s Vipal Subhashi, Vijay Kumar and Md Tabasir Alam were jointky leading the table with six points each after the end of the seventh round on the third day of the Bihar State Senior Chess Championship at Dalsinghsarai (Samastipur) on Tuesday.
The tournament is being organsied by Samastipur District Chess Association under the aegis of All Bihar Chess Association.
On the top five boards, the matches played between Vipal Subhashi and Vijay Kumar, Tabasir Alam and YP Srivastava, Vivek Sharma and Sudhir Kumar Sinha, Himanshu Harsh and Ramcharan and Rahul Kumar and Prashant Kumar ended in a draw.
Six players including YP Srivastava, Sudhir Kumar Sinha were jointly in the second place with 5.5 points. Two more rounds will be played in the tournament.
