Gorakhpur, July 6: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Saturday, emphasized the importance of embracing advanced technology to progress with the times.

“To achieve this, it is crucial to educate our youth in new-age technical courses so that they remain at the forefront of modern advancements,” he stated.

Addressing the public after inaugurating the residential and non-residential buildings of Government Polytechnic in Hardi of Sahajanwa, Chief Minister Yogi mentioned that the construction of these buildings amounted to Rs 21.02 crore.

Yogi also highlighted that today, some youth are wasting both their money and time by falling prey to various online fraudulent companies. He emphasized that cyber security has become a significant global concern. By implementing degree or diploma programs in cyber security, trained youth can be prepared to tackle various cyber-related challenges and secure employment opportunities in this field.

CM Yogi emphasized the importance of ensuring that today’s youth have access to education in cutting-edge technologies like Internet of Things, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. He stressed the need to advance this initiative at the grassroots level to empower local communities. Yogi highlighted that employed youth would significantly contribute to the development of Gorakhpur, the state, and the nation, enhancing their own prosperity in the process.

Highlighting the secure environment in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi noted, “Due to stringent security measures, an excellent industrial atmosphere has flourished today.” He underscored ongoing efforts to develop a skilled workforce through numerous degree and diploma programs. Yogi also mentioned the presence of three technical universities in Uttar Pradesh—Lucknow, Kanpur, and Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology in Gorakhpur—dedicated to nurturing talent and driving technological advancement in the state.

He further highlighted that various government engineering colleges, polytechnics, ITI colleges, and private engineering institutions are advancing technical education in the state. The Vocational Education Department of the state government is also introducing numerous modern courses to skillfully equip the youth.

Emphasizing ongoing development in Gorakhpur, Yogi stated, “Continuous development and welfare initiatives are being implemented through various schemes. The Gorakhpur Link Expressway has been successfully completed, and new industries are consistently being established in GIDA.”

Referring to GIDA in Sahajanwa, he noted, “In the area where a slaughterhouse was previously planned, new industries are now being set up. PepsiCo has recently established a plant in the GIDA area, set to be inaugurated soon.”

CM Yogi highlighted that the Sahajanwa area has received a significant new addition in the realm of technical education. He assured that the government is striving to commence educational activities this session. However, if there are delays in obtaining recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education, teaching will smoothly commence from the next session. Yogi emphasized that this polytechnic institute will be a crucial asset for the development of the Sahajanwa area.

He noted the continuous expansion of GIDA (Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority) in Sahajanwa, with new industries being established regularly. Yogi underscored that these industries are generating employment opportunities daily. He emphasized that diploma holders from this polytechnic will find local employment opportunities after completing their education.

Yogi expressed confidence that this polytechnic will play a pivotal role not only in the development of Sahajanwa but also in contributing to the overall development of Gorakhpur.

CM Yogi said that for flood prevention, dams are being built in an advanced manner in various areas of the district. He personally inspected several dams today and expressed satisfaction with their construction quality. Yogi noted that these well-built dams have effectively prevented flooding issues in Gorakhpur despite heavy rainfall.
