Ramanand Tiwari Memorial Under-13 Inter-School Cricket Tournament From April 25

Patna: The 7th Ramanand Tiwari Memorial Under-13 Inter-School Cricket Tournament will be organised at the Krishna Cricket Ground (Khemnichak, Patna) from April 25, under the aegis of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation.

Sharing this information, Santosh Tiwari, founder of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation, said that the tournament used to be held regularly before the COVID-19 pandemic. After that, it had been conducted as a one-day final. This year, the organisation has decided to organise it as a full-fledged tournament.

Foundation General Secretary Naveen Kumar said that 16 teams will be allowed to participate in the tournament. Two matches will be played each day on a knockout basis, with each match consisting of 25 overs per side. Teams from schools, cricket academies, and other educational institutions are eligible to take part.

He added that the late Ramanand Tiwari, grandfather of Santosh Tiwari, was actively involved in social work. The foundation pays tribute to him through this tournament.

General Secretary Naveen Kumar also said that numerous prizes will be up for grabs during the tournament. The winning and runner-up teams will receive glittering trophies, and individual players will be awarded various prizes. Additionally, each day will see award for the Man of the Match. Best Batsman, Best Bowler, and Best Emerging Player of the tournament will also be given..
