Ranchi: The 10th Ranchi District Badminton Championship began at Thakur Vishwanath Shahdev Indoor Stadium on Friday. About 275 players in different age groups are participating in the tournament.
In boys’ U-11 singles, Kuldeep Kumar beat Ishaan Kumar 15-5, 15-3 and Raj Veer beat Adhvik Tejash 15-7,15-6.
In the girls’ Under-13 category, Sambhavi Burman beat Aashita 15-10, 15-7 and Ashna Anand outplayed Navika Raj 15-5, 15-7.
In the boys U-15 section, Pranit R Sinha defeated Aditya Gope 15-4, 15-6.
In boys’ U-9 singles semi-finals, Tanus Ramesh beat Arjun Kumar and Eklavya Agarwal beat Shivansh Sharma to enter the final.
