Patna: Basawan Park Cricket Academy and Panthers XI entered the semi-finals of the 2nd Nanhak Mahto Memorial Prize Money Inter School Cricket Tournament. Basawan Park Cricket Academy beat Exceed India High School by 107 runs and Panthers XI beat YCC Sports Academy by 94 runs at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium on Friday.
Organising secretary of the tournament, Naveen Kumar said that the semi-final match will be played between Bihiya CC vs Panthers XI on May 15 and Basawan Park vs Pleasant Valley School on May 16.
In the first match, Exceed India High School won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, Basawan Park Cricket Academy scored 197 runs for 8 wickets in 25 overs. In reply, the Exceed India High School were all out for 90 runs. Himanshu (28 runs, 3 wickets) of the winning team was awarded the player of the match award.
In the second match, Panthers XI won the toss and batting first scored 149 runs losing all wickets in 19.1 overs. In reply YCC Sports Academy were all out for 55 runs. Prateek Sinha of Panthers, who took four wickets, was given the player of the match award.
