Varanansi, July 16: Covid booster dose special vaccination campaign for 18 plus age group people began at Western Suburban Health Center Vaccination Center of Benaras Locomotive Works (BLW) here on Friday.
The drive has been launched under the guidance of BLW general manager Anjali Goyal and under the able leadership of principal chief medical officer Dr Devesh Kumar. Inaugurating the camp, Dr Devesh Kumar said that till the next 75 days, the vaccination drive of the precaution dose will continue for the plus 18 age group people who have completed six months or twenty six weeks after receiving the second dose of Covid vaccine The precaution doses will be administered at the BLW vaccination Center free of cost.
On this occasion, along with Dr Devesh Kumar and senior deputy general manager Vijay also visited the centre. They found everything in order at the centre. In order to increase the convenience of the people coming for vaccination, instructions were also given to set up a shed in front of the registration counter and make sitting arrangement. In view of the heavy rush of people, instructions were also given for the add computer and human resources at the vaccination center at the earliest.
Several senior officials of the BLW were present on the occasion.
