Patna: Former cricket stars of Patna gathered at the 22 Yard Cricket Academy Ground in Sampatchak on Sunday to participate in the Binda Devi Memorial One-Day Veteran Cricket Tournament. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the late Binda Devi, with veteran players reliving old memories and reconnecting on the field. in the match Patna Black defeated Patna Blue by 88 runs.
Before the match began, players paid their respects by offering flowers and observing a minute of silence in her memory.
Winning the toss, Patna Black posted a competitive 166/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Rajiv Prasad top-scored with a brilliant 51 (retired hurt), supported by Tarun Kumar (24), Dr. Mukesh Kumar Singh (19), and Satish Agarwal (17). Extras contributed 25 runs. For Patna Blue, Satya Prakash claimed 2/46, while Om Prakash took 1/20.
In reply, Patna Blue struggled against a dominant bowling attack, collapsing for 78 runs in 18.2 overs.
