Sonepur: On Sunday, trials for the 37th Sub Junior and 42nd Junior National Softball Championships were held in Sonepur, organised by the Softball Association of Bihar in collaboration with Shiva Enterprises. The trials took place at the Dak Bungalow ground, with a total of 130 players participating.

In the sub-junior category, 69 boys and girls showcased their skills, while 61 players competed in the junior category. The trials provided a platform for the athletes to display their abilities as selectors sought to identify potential players for the upcoming national championships.

Selectors Monu Kumar, Pramod Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar, Varsha Kumari, and Deepa Kumari were present, alongside notable figures such as Rupak Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Softball Association of Bihar, Saran President Rani Singh, Secretary Uday Kumar K, Randhir Yadav, and Chandrama Singh, who formally inaugurated the event.

National players Aditya Kumar, Abhishek Anand, and Vishnu Ranjan were also in attendance. Shivam Kumar welcomed the guests, and Vikas Kumar, proprietor of Shiva Enterprises, delivered the vote of thanks.
