Samastipur, Gopalganj, Munger, Rohtas, Patna emerge victorious in BCA Men’s Senior One Day Trophy

Patna: The sixth day of the BCA Men’s Senior One Day Trophy, organised by the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), witnessed a series of exhilarating matches. Teams from Samastipur, Gopalganj, Munger, Rohtas, Patna, Nalanda, Darbhanga, and Araria emerged victorious in their respective encounters.

Patna vs Arwal (Moinul Haq Stadium, Patna)

Patna won by 249 runs
Batting first, Patna posted an imposing total of 356/2 in their allotted 50 overs. Piyush Kumar Singh starred with a brilliant 146 off 127 balls, including 18 fours and a six, while Akash Raj smashed 151 off 103 balls, featuring 17 fours and 5 sixes. Ashish Kumar contributed 37 runs. In response, Arwal were bowled out for 107 runs. Suraj Kumar Kashyap (5/22) and Abhinav Singh (3/12) were the standout bowlers for Patna. For Arwal, Shasim Rathore (28) and Anand Prakash (25) offered some resistance.

Rohtas vs Kaimur (Maharaja College Ground, Ara)

Rohtas won by 59 runs
Rohtas set a target of 206 after being bowled out in 42.3 overs. Tarun Kumar Singh top-scored with 97, supported by Samarjeet Vinay Kumar (35) and Siddharth (29). Parvez Alam (3/19) and Sagar (2 wickets) were key bowlers for Rohtas. Kaimur were dismissed for 147 in 35.1 overs, with Shankar Sanjay Upadhyay (38) being their highest scorer. Dhanesh Arvind Chauhan (4/36) and Vikas Kumar Patel (3/37) led Rohtas’ bowling attack.

Nalanda vs Sheikhpura (NCA Cricket Ground, Nalanda)

Nalanda won by 439 runs
Nalanda amassed a mammoth 534/7 in 50 overs, with Aman Anil Aditya (102), Veer Pratap Singh (76), and Aarav Naval Kishore (76) leading the charge. Arnav Vinod Kumar (5/49) was the pick of the bowlers. Sheikhpura crumbled to 95 all out in 17.5 overs, with Nawaz Khan (2/85) and Himanshu Kumar (2/84) struggling to contain the onslaught.

Samastipur vs Khagaria (HURL Cricket Ground, Bihat Begusarai)

Samastipur won by 37 runs
Samastipur scored 249/8, with Aditya Vinay Kumar (44) and Adarsh Pankaj Parashar (40) making significant contributions. Khagaria were bowled out for 212, despite Keshav Raja Vishal’s 42. Adarsh Pankaj Parashar (4/35) and Captain Suman Pradeep Kumar (3/26) were instrumental in Samastipur’s victory.

Gopalganj vs East Champaran (JP Singh Stadium, Vaishali)

Gopalganj won by 53 runs
Gopalganj posted 291/10, with Sachin Kumar Singh (74) and Aryan Raj (58) leading the way. East Champaran managed 238/10, with Shivam Kumar Singh (59) and Yusuf Jahangir Nadeem (49) top-scoring. Sakibul Manan Ghani (4/50) was the standout bowler for Gopalganj.

Jamui vs Munger (Sandish Compound, Bhagalpur)

Munger won by 3 wickets
Jamui scored 191/10, with Mayank Pradeep Mehta (76) being the standout batsman. Munger chased down the target with 192/7, thanks to Rishabh Deepak (43) and Syed Musharraf Gulrez (41). Prashant Kamal Kumar (3/36) and Amit Durgesh Kumar (3/39) were key bowlers for Jamui.

Darbhanga vs Muzaffarpur (Janaki Stadium, Sitamarhi)

Darbhanga won by 102 runs
Darbhanga posted 282/8, with Ayush Anand Loharuka (94) and Altamiz Ali Ashraf (82) leading the charge. Muzaffarpur were bowled out for 180, with Bharat Basant Kumar (66) top-scoring. Tripurari Sujit Keshav (4/29) and Manish Balihari Kumar (4/29) were the standout bowlers.

Araria vs Madhepura (Vidya Vihar Cricket Ground, Purnia)

Araria won by 128 runs
Araria scored 218/10, with M.D. Mustafa Ashfaq (54) and Raja Suresh Babu (39) contributing significantly. Madhepura were bowled out for 90, with MD Shamsher Alam (3/22) and Ehsan Ansari (3/45) leading Araria’s bowling attack.
