Patna: The 9th Bihar State Senior and Junior Pickleball Championship (Men/Women/Boys/Girls) will be held from 14th to 15th September at Saint Xavier’s College of Management and Technology, Digha, Patna, under the banner of the Bihar Pickleball Association.
According to the association’s secretary, Ranjan Kumar Gupta, the senior category will feature singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches for age groups 60 years, 50 years, and above 35 years. In the junior category, matches will be held in the same formats for players under 19.
Performances in this championship will determine the selection of Bihar’s Senior and Junior Men/Women/Boys/Girls teams, who will go on to participate in the 8th Senior and Junior National Pickleball Championship in Panipat, Haryana, from 4th to 6th October.
A three-member selection committee, led by the association’s senior vice-president Gouri Shankar and members Anand Singh and Abhay Kumar, has been set up to select the Bihar team.
