Patna: In the BCA Inter District Cricket Tournament matches played at different venues of Bihar on Wednesday, Patna beat Vaishali, Bhojpur beat Buxar, Purnia beat Katihar, Samastipur beat Saharsa, Gopalganj beat West Champaran, Darbhanga beat Sitamarhi and Bhagalpur beat Munger.
Shahabad Zone: Buxar Vs Bhojpur (Bhojpur beat Buxar by 106 runs)
In Kaimur, Bhojpur DCA defeated Buxar DCA by 106 runs in their first match. Batting first after winning the toss, Bhojpur scored 250 runs in 48.5 overs. Ankit batting brilliantly scored 69 runs in 84 balls which included 9 fours. During his innings, Ankit also made a quick-fire half-century of 50 runs in 41 balls with the help of 6 fours and one six.
Varun Raj scored 33, Adarsh made 24 and Karan scored 16 runs. For Buxar DCA, Rohan got three wickets for 59 runs. Amit and Samrat took two wickets each while Surya, Sourav and Ravi took one wicket each.
Chasing a respectable target, Buxar’s batsmen got off to a brisk start, but wickets kept falling at regular interval. Buxar lost their five batsmen for 82 runs. Finally, Buxar were all out for 144 runs in 30.1 overs. For Buxar, Nikhil scored 38 runs off 19 balls. Shahbaz contributed 32 runs in 47 balls and Pankaj contributed 13 runs. Ankit took 4 wickets for 30 runs, Samresh took three wickets for 14 runs while Paramjit took 2 wickets for 26 runs. Ankit of Bhojpur DCA, who performed well with the ball and bat in the match, was adjudged as the best player of the match.
East Zone; Purnia vs Katihar ( Katihar beat Purnia)
Katihar beat Purnia by two wickets at Green Valley ground in Gulab Bagh. After winning the toss, Katihar invited Purnea to bat first. Purnia scored 202 runs, losing 9 wickets in 50 overs. For Purnia, captain Abhishek Kumar Babu scored 84 off 97 balls with the help of 10 fours and 3 sixes and Sarman Nigrodh scored 50 runs in 91 balls with the help of 10 fours. Khalid took four wickets for 31 runs, Peter Mardi got 2 wickets for 22 runs.
Chasing the target of 203 runs, Katihar achieved the target by losing 8 wickets in 49 overs and Katihar won the match by 2 wickets. For Katihar, Suraj Sharma scored 54 runs in 68 balls with the help of 4 fours and Ankit Singh scored 37 runs in 56 balls with the help of 3 fours. Shishir Saket took four wickets for 43 runs. Rahul Singh got 2 wickets by giving away 33 runs in 9 overs. Khalid of Katihar was adjudged player of the match.
West Zone: Gopalganj vs West Champaran ( Gopalganj beat West Champaran by 86 runs)
At Sonpur Railway Ground, Gopalganj defeated West Champaran by 86 runs. West Champaran won the toss and invited Gopalganj to bat. Thanks to Prashant Singh 71 and Prashant Srivastav 66 and Utkarsh Singh 36, Gopalganj scored 253 runs for nine wickets in 50 overs. For, West Champaran, Jeetendra took 3 wickets, Himanshu and Abhishek took two wickets each.
Chasing 254 to win, West Champaran scored 167 runs in 36.4 overs. Jitendra scored 62, Lokesh 23 and Sumangal scored 18 runs for West Champaran. Sachin and Amod took three wickets each and Anuj Raj took two wickets. Prashant Singh was adjudged man of the match.
Patliputra Zone: Patna Vs Vaishali (Patna beat Vaishali by 49 runs)
Vaishali lost to Patna by 49 runs at the Moinul Haq Stadium in Patna. Vaishali won the toss and invited Patna to bat. Thanks to Shasheem Rathod 64 runs, Piyush Singh 45 runs, Babul 26 runs and Abhijeet 15 runs and Vivek 14 runs, Patna scored 218 runs in 47.2 overs. For Vaishali, Natwar took 3 wickets, Abhishek and Ratnesh took two wickets each, Anunay and Aditya took one wicket each.
Chasing the target of 219 runs, Vaishali team got out after scoring 167 runs in 44.5 overs. Shiv Raj scored 33 runs, Shivam Kumar 32 runs, Sonu Kumar 18 runs, Anunay Kumar Jha 16 runs, Aditya Anand 14 runs and Anunay Narayan Singh scored 12 runs from Vaishali. For Patna, Suraj Kashyap took 3 wickets, Shasheem took 2 wickets and Abhijeet Malay and Rahul took one wicket each.
Central Zone: Samastipur Vs Saharsa (Samastipur beat Saharsa by 23 runs)
At Barauni Refinery Stadium, Saharsa won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first Samastipur scored 30 5for 8 off 50 overs. Md Alam scored 132 runs while Alok Kumar scored 63. For Saharsa side Md Sahil Raj got 2 wickets and Pankaj Kumar Yadav got 2 wickets.
In reply, Saharsa were all out for 282 runs in the 49 over. For Saharsa, Prince Kumar scored 70 runs and Ankit Singh scored 66 runs and for Samastipur, Rahul got 3 wickets and Suman Kumar got 3 wickets.
Angika Zone: Bhagalpur vs Munger (Bhagalpur beat Munger by 185 runs)
At Sandys Ground in Bhagalpur, Bhagalpur won the toss and decided to bat. Bhagalpur team scored 301 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs due to Suryavansh 79 runs, Washukinath 59 runs, Vikash Yadav 54 runs. Prashant took 3 wickets, Govind 2 and Amit and Syed took one wicket each for Munger.
Chasing a 302 runs, Munger were out for 116 runs in just 32.2 overs. Amit contributed 35 runs, Shubham 29 runs and Anand contributed 21 runs for Munger. For Bhagalpur, Rizwan Riyan, Shahabuddin took 2 wickets and Govinda, Bhanu and Sachin took one wicket each.
Mithila Zone: Darbhanga vs Sitamarhi ( Darbhanga defeat Sitamarhi by 48 runs)
Darbhanga defeated Sitamarhi by 48 runs in the third match of Mithila Zone. Sitamarhi won the toss and decided to field at Nehru Stadium Laheriasarai on Wednesday. Darbhanga scored 245 runs for 9 wickets in 42 overs. For Darbhanga, Ayush Loharuka scored 89 runs, Bhaswan scored 32 runs, Altamish and Mayank scored 27runs each, Abhishek scored 19 and Navneet scored 15 runs.
Sitamarhi bowler Nikesh took 4 wickets. In reply, Sitamarhi were all out for 197 runs in 38 overs. Mukesh (35), Vipul (33), Satyam (32) and Mohd Sahab Ali (24 ) were the main contributors. Subhash Chandra of Darbhanga, Tripurari and Mohd Jahangir took two wickets each.
