New Delhi, Wednesday, July 13: IOS Sports and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. – one of India’s leading sports management organizations, have announced the on-boarding of the young talented badminton player Tasnim Mir into their strong sporting profile.
The 17-year-old badminton prodigy scripted her name in the Indian sports history by becoming the first Indian to clinch the BWF Junior World No.1 ranking in the U-19 category in January, 2022.
Tasnim, being amongst one of the most talented young athletes in the country made sure to represent her hometown Gujarat in the Khelo India Youth Games, where she went down in a tough fight to Unnati Hooda of Haryana, settling for silver in Panchkula.
She has won more than 20 national and 6 international tournaments which also include the u-15 junior championship and Asian u-17 championship which was held in Indonesia. She also remains one of the youngest athletes to have clinched the u-19 championship title at the age of 14.
With the future shining bright ahead of her, she expressed her thoughts on her association with IOS sports, “As an athlete my main focus lies on training and my game. But to grow as an athlete all commercial aspects of the game need to be well managed too and I am delighted that my association with IOS Sports will help me with that. I look forward to growing my momentum and concentrating on my goals with them as a part of my team.”
Having drawn her inspiration from the two of the most decorated seniors, Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu, she remains keen to work harder to improve her senior rankings with an aim to represent India in Paris Olympics in a couple of years.
