Patna: The Hundred Bolt Gold Bihar Mini (U-7/9/11) State Badminton Tournament 2024 is set to take place in Patna from 22nd to 24th November. Organised by the Patna District Badminton Association under the auspices of the Bihar Badminton Association (BBA), the tournament will be held at the Physical Training College Hall in Rajendra Nagar, Patna.
Selected players from district-level competitions will participate in this three-day event. Entry to the tournament is restricted to singles matches across three age categories: U-7, U-9, and U-11. Only district-level winners, runners-up, and semi-finalists will qualify to compete. As the host district, Patna is permitted four entries per category.
The Bihar Badminton Association has set an entry fee of ₹300 per player, to be paid upon registration. All related expenses, including travel, accommodation, and other costs, are to be borne by the players’ parents or guardians. Additionally, guardians will be responsible for ensuring their children’s accommodation and other arrangements during the tournament.
In an important update, the BBA has announced that performances in this tournament will influence selections for the upcoming Mini National Badminton Championship 2024 (U-11), to be held in Thane, Maharashtra. Players excelling in the Bihar tournament will have the opportunity to represent the state at this national level.
Participants are required to bring their school identification and Aadhar card as proof of age and eligibility. This measure is intended to ensure smooth administration and compliance with tournament guidelines.
The Bihar Badminton Association anticipates a highly competitive event, showcasing emerging talent from across the state. This tournament not only offers a platform for young players to demonstrate their skills but also serves as a crucial step towards representing Bihar at the national level.
