Patna: Ram Navami is celebrated with great pomp in Bihar. Grand preparations have been made in the famous Hanuman temple of Patna. There is a steady stream of devotees in the Mahavir Temple located at Patna Junction since morning. The doors of the temple have been open since 2:15 am. There is a queue of people for 3 kilometres for Darshan. Saffron and Jai Shri Ram flags cover the markets of Patna. By afternoon, more than 1.5 lakh people had received the darshan of Ram Bhakt Hanuman.

Arrangements for jaggery, gram and cold water have been made for the devotees in Patna’s Mahavir Temple. In addition to the temple premises, the Mahavir Temple administration has set up 14 Naivedyam counters for the convenience of the devotees. Eight priests have been called from Ayodhya to ensure that the offerings to the devotees can be made quickly. Ram Navami procession was taken out at the Dak Bungalow intersection. It has been organised by the Abhinandan Committee. The Shobha Yatra was carried out by 54 puja committees in the entire city of Patna. This procession passed through various streets and neighbourhoods and reached the Dak Bungalow intersection.

Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and many leaders of the state BJP including BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, Ramkripal Yadav, BJP state president cum Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Sinha, JD(U) ministers Vijay Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary participated in the programme.

Eight priests have been called from Ayodhya to the Mahavir temple. The footprints of God continue to bless the people. In the Mahavir temple, a total of 14 priests, including the already existing 6 priests, are helping in offering Prasad to the devotees throughout the day.

25000 kg Naivedyam have been prepared for Ram Navami in the Mahavir Temple of Patna. It was prepared by more than 100 artisans from Tirupati. Naivedyam counters were also installed at the station entrance, Dakbungalow intersection, GPO Golambar and Veer Kunwar Singh Park. On the day of Ram Navami, 14 Naivedyam counters were set up for the convenience of the devotees.

Naivedyam was available at prominent places, including opposite Mahavir Temple, Patna Junction Entrance No. 1, Auto Stand, Dak Bungalow Square, GPO Golambar, and Veer Kunwar Singh Park. The puja started at 10 am at the main flag site located in the Mahavir Temple complex in Patna. After the puja, all the Hanuman flags were changed. Lord Ram’s birth anniversary was celebrated from 11:50 am to 12:20 noon. During this time, the devotees remained at their places in the queues. After the birth anniversary aarti, the devotees continued the sequence of offering prasad and darshan until 12 o’clock in the night. Flowers were showered on the temple by drone from 10 am to 2 pm.
