Patna: On the ball badminton court of Kilkari, Saidpur, under the auspices of Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhawan, Patna, Kilkari Lions defeated Kilkari Challengers 35-25, 35-20 in two consecutive sets in the final match of the fives event of the first Kilkari Ball Badminton Premier League.
In the final match, Gaurav, Aniket, Avinash, and Raunak for the Kilkari Lions and Saurabh, Golu, Arjun, and Ayush for the Challengers performed brilliantly. In the doubles event of the boys category, the pair of Sachin and Anokhe became the winners by defeating the pair of Gaurav and Raunak by 35-17, 35-22. In the final match of mixed doubles, the pair of Prashant and Harshita won the title by defeating the pair of Kundan and Divya by 35-22, 35-26. Gaurav Kumar from the Kilkari Lions and Divya Kumari from the girls category received the Premier League’s best player award. Along with this, Aniket Kumar, Soham Kumar, Saloni Kumari, and Roshni Kumari received the Best Emerging Player award.
Mitali Mitra, Joint Secretary of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association, Rakesh Ranjan, Dr Arun Dayal, Secretary of the Patna District Ball Badminton Association, and senior national player Badal Kumar gave away the prizes. The guests were welcomed by Kilkari coordinator Ved Prakash, and a vote of thanks was given by coach Rahul Kumar.
