Patna: Kaimur defeated Bhagalpur by eight wickets to enter the semi-finals of the BCA Men’s U23 One Day Trophy 2024-25 at Janaki Stadium in Sitamarhi on Friday.
Bhagalpur batting first, scored 92 runs in 37.3 overs. Kumar Ramakrishna was the top scorer with 31 runs off 79 balls with three fours. Vishal Ram Kumar contributed 15, Aditya scored 14 and Rakesh Umesh Kumar scored 12 runs.
Dhanesh Arvind Chauhan was the most effective bowler for Kaimur taking 5 wickets for 15 runs in 6.3 overs. Chintu Radheshyam Gupta got two wickets, while Priyam Jitendra Choubey, Diwan Dhanesh Khan and Ajay Veer Dharamveer Singh got one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Kaimur won the match by scoring 93 runs in just 10.1 overs losing 2 wickets. Team captain Shashank Sanjay Upadhyay scored 24 runs in 11 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes. Ajay Veer Dharamveer Singh scored an unbeaten 25 runs and Anubhav Jaiprakash Singh scored an unbeaten 29 runs to take the team to the victory target.
Shubham Anil Kumar and Sachin Sunil Roy got one wicket each for Bhagalpur.
