Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Monday said the Opposition parties had not been given a “level playing field” in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. “If given a fair chance, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will not be able to win even 100 Lok Sabha seats,” he said.

Tejashwi Yadav on Monday posted on the social media a video of his interview with the media, in which he said if the BJP contested the elections on issues like unemployment, youths, farmers, education and health, it would not even cross the 100-mark.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been talking continuously about ‘400 paar’ (winning more than 400 Lok Sabha seats), but never talks about issues. All BJP leaders were also reiterating the ‘400 paar’ slogan at every rally and meeting, he said. If Modi and BJP leaders do not talk about issues, then forget 400 seats, they will not be able to cross even 100 seats, he added.

Tejashwi said while his party was trying to focus on issues of unemployment, price rise, poverty, health, education, social justice and development, the BJP-led National Development Alliance was banking on mandir-masjid, Hindu-Muslim, ‘Godi media’, misuse of constitutional institutions like the CBI, ED, and Income Tax, EVMs and electoral bonds that empower financial and deceitful influence. He said if there was a level playing field then BJP would not get even 100 seats.
