Patna: Friday was a disappointing day for Bihar in the 41st Junior National Softball Championship at Patliputra Sports Complex here on Friday. Hosts Bihar had to face defeat in both boys and girls categories. With this, they were out of this championship.
In the Super Eight match of boys category played today, Rajasthan defeated Bihar by 12-0 and MP girls defeated Bihar by 9-6. Apart from this, Andhra Pradesh defeated Madhya Pradesh by 5-1, Kerala defeated Punjab by 8-4, Chhattisgarh defeated Chandigarh by 10-0, Andhra defeated Rajasthan by 471 runs.
In the girls category, Chhattisgarh defeated MP 1-0, Andhra Pradesh defeated Kerala 5-2, Telangana defeated Maharashtra 4-3 and Rajasthan defeated Chandigarh 13-1 to reach the semi-finals.
Giving this information, Organizing Secretary Ajay Narayan Sharma said that the semi-final matches will be played on Saturday.
