Patna: On the auspicious occasion of Olympic Day, June 23, 2024, a sub-junior 5 A-side women and men hockey match was organized at Dung-Dung Stadium, BRC Danapur, Patna under the aegis of Hockey Bihar. This match was played between Eklavya Center Patna and Hockey Patna. Eklavya Center defeated Hockey Patna 2-0. Siddhi Kumari and Khushi Kumari scored one goal each from Eklavya Center.
In the men’s category, the match was played between Hockey Patna and Patel Academy. Hockey Patna defeated Patel Academy 4-2. Ashish Ranjan scored two goals, Navin Kumar and Rajiv Kumar scored one goal each from Hockey Patna and Nikhil Navin and Suman Kumar scored one goal each from Patel Academy. All the players prayed for the Indian men’s hockey team which is going to play in Paris Olympics and wished them good luck to win the gold medal.
On this occasion Manoj Kumar, Munindra, Achal Kumar, Vikash Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Mini Kumari, Aparajita Kumari, Shreya Kumari, Tulsi Kumari, Tamanna Raj and many former and present national women and men players were present.
