CM Yogi addressed the public gathering after inaugurating Annapurna Multi Super Specialty Hospital near Judges Compound in Civil Lines, Gorakhpur. During his speech, he stated, “Every hospital is not only a crucial center for health but also a major hub of people’s trust and employment.”

He highlighted that the construction of a hospital generates local employment opportunities. It offers jobs to students and girls pursuing careers in medical, paramedical, and nursing fields, thereby fostering trust in both society and the system.

“Just as good education is important for a civilized and cultured society, so is the provision of excellent healthcare. Due to the increasing population, busy routines, and climate change, many new diseases have emerged today. Good medical and health centers are necessary to treat these diseases,” Yogi added.

He highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in healthcare. He stated that while it is challenging for the government alone to provide all necessary facilities, positive outcomes can be achieved when the government, private sector, and charitable organizations work together. These organizations have consistently contributed to education and healthcare, not only providing education but also creating jobs for lakhs of people.

The Chief Minister emphasized that every poor person desires access to good healthcare facilities, and the government is sensitive to this need. He acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives, such as the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which has benefited crores of people since its launch in 2019.

“Seven years ago, BRD Medical College in eastern Uttar Pradesh was the only major medical center, and it was in poor condition. Today, BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur is delivering high-quality medical services. Furthermore, AIIMS in Gorakhpur is providing excellent healthcare. Medical colleges in Deoria, Siddharthnagar, and Basti are operational, while the construction of medical colleges in Kushinagar and Maharajganj is advancing rapidly. Nearly all districts in the state now have medical colleges, either completed or under construction,” Yogi added.

CM Yogi said that Gorakhpur has received a new medical center, the Annapurna Multi Super Specialty Hospital. He congratulated the hospital management and the citizens on this achievement. He then highlighted that state-of-the-art medical equipment has been installed, and trained staff are in place to operate them. He noted that the construction of this hospital demonstrates that, with determination, anything is possible.

He also remarked that before 2000, Gorakhpur lacked ICU facilities and a blood component separator machine. He said that today a new healthy competition is being seen in the field of medicine and health in the country and the state. Healthy competition drives society towards development, while negativity hinders progress. He urged everyone to continue promoting healthy competition.

“Due to this positive competition, Uttar Pradesh and Gorakhpur are progressing on the path of development. The image of the state has changed both nationally and globally. To continue this progress and perspective, we must all keep working diligently,” he added.

Director of Annapurna Multi Super Specialty Hospital, Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Dr. Meenakshi Gupta, Dr. Rishabh Gupta, Dr. Neelika Gupta, Dr. Tanya Gupta, welcomed and honored the Chief Minister at the inauguration ceremony.
