Patna: Gen Nex Cricket Academy and Gaya Youth Cricket Club won their respective matches in the third Freedom fighter Rajeshwar Rai Memorial Prize-Money Under-17 School Cricket Tournament at Anshul Cricket Academy ground on Monday.
Gen Nex Cricket Academy beat St Michael’s High School by 6 wickets while Gaya Youth Cricket Club beat Hilly Valley School Anshul Holmes by 7 wickets.
In the first match, St Michael’s School won the toss and batting first scored 152 runs for nine wickets in 30 overs. In reply, Gen Nex Cricket Academy scored 156 runs for four wickets in 20.1 overs. Diwakar Jha of the winning team was awarded the player of the match award by umpire Anees Ahmed.
In the second match Gaya Youth Cricket Club won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, Hilly Valley School Anshul Holmes scored 141 runs losing all wickets in 24.2 overs. In reply, Gaya Youth Cricket Club scored 146 runs for three wickets in 13 overs. Aryan Ranjan was given the player of the match award.
