Patna: Casa Picolla School Cricket League Under-15 had a grand start at Shri Krishna Stadium, Khemnichak. BBIT Thunderbolt and Manav Rachna Lions won their respective match played on the first day. BBIT Thunderbolt defeated Baddi Fighters by four wickets while Manav Rachna Lions defeated Oxford Super Kings by 183 runs.
Earlier, the league was inaugurated in a colorful ceremony by Patna Deputy Mayor Reshmi Chandravanshi, Ward Councilor cum member, Patna Municipal Corporation Empowered Committee Ashish Sinha, Ward Councilor cum member, Patna Municipal Corporation Empowered Committee Inderdeep Chandravanshi, Physio Dr. Kundan Kumar, Director of VTech Computer Education. Dr. Raunit Narayan, senior cricketer Saurabh Chakraborty, educationist Ashwini Sharma by releasing balloons in the air.
Organizing Chairman cum Director of Turning Point, Vijay Sharma welcomed the guests by giving them bouquets and mementos. Naveen Kumar, General Secretary of Sardar Patel Sports Foundation proposed a vote of thanks . The stage was moderated by commentator Mrityunjay Jha.
Baddie Fighters vs BBIT Thunderbolt
In this match BBIT Thunderbolt won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, Baddi Fighters scored 82 runs losing all the wickets in 18.5 overs. In reply, BBIT Thunderbolt team won the match by scoring 83 runs for 6 wickets in 17.2 overs. Ashish Gupta of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
Manav Rachna Lions vs Oxford Super Kings
In this match, after winning the toss and batting first, Manav Rachna Lions scored 230 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs with the help of Himanshu’s brilliant 102 runs. In reply, due to the brilliant bowling of Rohit, Oxford Super Kings team was all out for 47 runs in 17.2 overs. Rohit took four wickets for 10 runs. Himanshu, who played a century, was awarded the Player of the Match award.
