Patna: A delegation from the BJP Sports Cell, led by State Convenor Satish Raju, met with Bihar Sports Minister, Surendra Mehta, on Saturday to present a 15-point memorandum aimed at improving the welfare of athletes in the state.
Satish Raju emphasized the BJP Sports Cell’s dedication to the well-being of Bihar’s athletes, highlighting the importance of their latest initiative. The memorandum included several key demands, such as the formation of a Sports Commission in Bihar, the establishment of a Government Body for the Bihar State Sports Authority, and an investigation into financial irregularities in the 2023 Sports Award Ceremony.
Raju noted that the Sports Minister acknowledged the memorandum and assured that appropriate actions would be taken. He reiterated the BJP Sports Cell’s ongoing commitment to supporting athletes and promoting sports throughout Bihar.
Accompanying Raju at the meeting were joint convenors Mukesh Paswan, Rajiv Ranjan Yadav, Vikas Kumar Singh, and Sumit Jha.
