Patna: Due to bad weather, the Ranji Trophy match between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh at Victoria Park Stadium (Meerut) ended in a draw. Both teams got two points each. Uttar Pradesh won the toss on the second day and invited Bihar to bat first after the first day’s play was abandoned due to bad weather. Bihar scored 260 runs after losing all the wickets in the first innings. Batting for Bihar, Sarman Nigrodh scored 87 runs, Raghavendra Pratap scored 75 not out, Sakibul Ghani scored 41 runs. For Uttar Pradesh, Saurabh took 4 wickets, Karthik took 2 wickets, Nitish, Ankit and Vineet got one wicket each.
In reply to Bihar’s 260 runs, the Uttar Pradesh team, which came to bat, scored 45 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Due to bad weather, Uttar Pradesh team could bat only 4.4 overs. For Bihar, Veer Pratap took 2 wickets and Vipul Krishna took one wicket. Bihar’s next match will be against Kerala at Moinul Haq Stadium, Patna, from January 26.
