Patna: Under the aegis of Softball Association of Bihar, the 21st Junior Boys and Girls Softball Championship is going to be organised in Muzaffarpur From December 23 to 25. This information was given by Prachi Sharma, General Secretary of the Association.
Association Vice President Sanjay Kumar said that teams from 20 districts of Bihar will participate in it. All the matches of the championship will be conducted under the supervision of referees and umpires approved by the association.
Meanwhile, President Gautam Kanodia said that this championship has been restarted after a long gap. The main reason for this is the rapid development of softball in Bihar. The winning and runner-up teams will be given individual prizes along with attractive trophies. On the basis of performance in this championship, Bihar team will be selected for the upcoming Junior Boy and Girls National Championship.
Muzaffarpur Secretary Tanu Priya has been entrusted with the responsibility of successfully conducting the championship. Besides, Softball Association of Bihar has formed a five-member committee for the boys’ category of this event which will extend its support in organizing it. Association Joint Secretary Rupak Kumar, Bipin Kumar of Bhojpur, Rajesh Kumar Chintu of Siwan, Pramod Kumar of Nalanda and Saket Kumar of Munger have been assigned to the committee.
And for the girls category, a three-member committee has been formed. The members of the committee are Shikha Sonia, Tanuja Kiran, Archana Kumari.
