Bihar Sharif: Nalanda defeated Jehanabad by 163 runs in the Magadh Zone of the Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament being played under the auspices of Bihar Cricket Association. In this, Gaurav and Gautam scored centuries from Nalanda’s side.
In the fifth match of Magadh Zone of Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament, Nalanda easily defeated Jehanabad by 163 runs. The chief guest of this match, Ekangarsarai police station chief Akhilesh Kumar Jha and he gave the man of the match award to Nalanda’s AS Gaurav for his brilliant century of 138 runs.
After winning the toss, Nalanda batted first and scored a huge score of 367 runs losing 3 wickets in 50 overs. AS Gaurav scored 138 runs with the help of 21 fours and 1 six, Divyansh scored 85 runs with the help of 10 fours and 3 sixes, Gautam Baby scored unbeaten 107 runs with the help of 8 fours and 9 sixes and Ramvardhan scored 12 unbeaten runs. Whereas for Jehanabad, Kundan, Deepak and Anurag took one wicket each.
In reply, the entire Jehanabad team could score only 204 runs in 37.4 overs. Nalanda won the match by 163 runs. On behalf of Jehanabad, Gaurav contributed 48 runs, Sonu 28 runs, Dheeraj 31 runs, Ankit 24 runs and Nishant 19 runs.
For Nalanda, Harshit took 4 wickets, Aryan Aman took 3 wickets, Hrithik took 2 wickets and Ramvardhan took one wicket.
