Varanasi, July 16: Additional member (traction) Railway Board, Radhe Raman on Saturday visited the Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) and inspected various workshops of BLW such as New Loco Assembly Shop, Loco Frame Shop, Loco Test Shop, and New Block Shop. He also had close look on works related to the production of locomotives.
Principal chief electrical engineer Rajesh Kumar Rai, principal chief mechanical engineer Amitabh, chief electrical engineer Loco MK Gupta, chief design engineer (electrical Locomotive) P P Raju, chief electrical engineer (inspection) Anant Sadashiv, senior deputy general manager Vijay, deputy chief electrical engineer (loco) Arun Kumar Sharma and other officials were present during inspection.

During the inspection, the BLW officials gave detailed information about the production activities, construction facilities, ongoing projects in BLW as well as the production process and other technical aspects. After inspection of workshops, in the meeting was held at administrative building. Radhe Raman had a deep discussion with the major principal chiefs of departments and officials and got to know about the ongoing projects for the future.
On this occasion, Radhe Raman also met with the joint secretary of Staff Council Dharmendra Kumar Singh member of council BD Dubey, Naveen Sinha, Sushil Kumar Singh, Alok Verma and Vinod Singh and discussed the issues related to the employees. The delegation of employees submitted a memorandum to him. General secretary Harishankar Yadav and other members of OBC Association also discussed the issues related to the interest of the employees and submitted a memorandum to Raman.
