Patna: Gaya is all set to host the 34th National Sub-Junior Boys and Girls Kabaddi Championship from 27th March at the GD Goenka Public School Campus. The tournament, organized under the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) and the Bihar State Kabaddi Association, promises to be a thrilling event with top young talents from across the country.
Bihar Teams Announced
Apoorv Sukant, President of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association, along with Secretary Vipul Kumar Singh, unveiled the state squads. Roshan Kumar will lead the boys’ team, while Navya Kumari has been named captain of the girls’ team.
Grand Inauguration & Star-Studded Presence
The championship will be inaugurated by Dr. Prem Kumar, Bihar Government’s Minister of Cooperative Department. The event will also witness the presence of:
- Jitendra Thakur, General Secretary of AKFI (Special Guest)
- Balwan Singh (Dronacharya Awardee & Indian Kabaddi Team Head Coach)
- Pawan Shehrawat (Arjuna Awardee & Indian Men’s Kabaddi Team Captain)
- Sachin Tanwar (Asian Games Gold Medalist)
The opening ceremony will be graced by other kabaddi legends, including:

High-Stakes Competition
Apart from state teams, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) team will also participate, making the tournament more competitive. The four-day championship is expected to deliver high-energy matches with fierce battles for the title.
