Jhajha (Jamui): Jamui defeated Banka by 168 runs in the eighth match of Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament Angika Zone being held at Local Railway Chandwari Maidan, Jhajha, Jamui.
Batting first, Jamui scored 257 runs losing all the wickets in 49 overs. Krishna contributed 77 runs, Priyanshu scored 37, Roshan scored 33, Vivek scored 29 and Md Taufiq contributed 27 runs.
For Banka, Sachin took 3 wickets and Avinash and Aditya took 2 wickets each.
While chasing 257 runs, Banka’s team got trapped in the spin of Badal and could score only 89 runs after losing all the wickets in 24 overs. Batsman Raj Kapoor played an inning of 25 runs and Vineet played an inning of 11 runs. Jamui’s Badal took 6 wickets. Armaan took 2 wickets, Aman and Sachin took 1 wicket each.
