Bihar Sharif: Nalanda defeated Sheikhpura by 50 runs in the Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament Magadh Zone match being held at Nalanda Cricket Ground, Ekangardih in Nalanda district.
After winning the toss, Sheikhpura decided to bowl first. Batting first, Nalanda scored 243 runs losing 10 wickets in 44.1 overs. For Nalanda, Ricky scored 61 runs, Jural scored 57 runs, Divyansh scored 32 runs, Neeraj scored 21 runs, Aryan scored 20 runs and Hrithik scored 15 runs.
Suraj and Neeraj took three wickets each for Sheikhpura. Sumit took 2 wickets and Ayush took one wicket.
In reply, Ramvardhan trapped Sheikhpura’s team in his bowling due to which Sheikhpura team lost 10 wickets for 193 runs in 32.1 overs and remained 50 runs short of the target. On behalf of Sheikhpura, Govind contributed 37 runs, Suraj 33, Sachin 29, Ketan 27 and Sanjeev contributed 25 runs.
Ramvardhan took five wickets for Nalanda. Ricky took three wickets and Hrithik and Harshit took one wicket each. Social worker Neetu Kumari gave Man of the Match award to Ricky Kumar of Nalanda.
