Bihar Agricultural University Takes Initiative of Reducing Case Load

Bhagalpur: The Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour today organized an Alternative Dispute Redressal Camp to facilitate out of court settlement of grievance and disputes pertaining the employees. The university initiative of holding the camp was aimed at reducing load of cases filed in court by employees for settlement of grievances and disputes.

The point of grievances and disputes of employees concerning total eleven cases were heard in the camp held under chairmanship of Dr D R Singh, Vice Chancellor (VC).

A university committee had earlier shortlisted total fifteen cases for hearing in which employees had taken legal recourse for settlement of grievances and disputes. However total eleven petitioners turned up in alternative dispute redressal camp.

After detailed discussion held in the camp, the grievances and disputes concerning total nine employees were amicably sorted out. The said employees gave their consent to withdraw their respective cases pending in Patna high court.

The university has decided to continue its effort of further reducing load of court cases filed by aggrieved employees for redressal of grievances and disputes by holding similar alternative dispute redressal camp at university level.

The university officials present in the camp included registrar, director administration, comptroller, counsel of university besides officer-in-charge legal cell.
