YCC register third consecutive victory in Patna District Junior Division Cricket League

Patna: YCC and Navashakti Niketan won their respective matches in the Patna District Junior Division Cricket League at two different venues on Friday.

At Khemnichak Ground, YCC defeated Blue Star by 53 runs while at Mangal Talab Ground, Navshakti Niketan defeated Bhanwar Pokhar CC by 3 wickets. This was the third consecutive win in three matches for YCC team playing in Pool A while this was the first win in two matches for Navshakti Niketan playing in Pool E.

YCC won the toss and batting first scored 193 runs for seven wickets in 30 overs. Rohit Pandey scored 47 and Mehul scored 46 runs. In reply, Blue Star’s team was all out for 140 runs in 25.2 overs. Subhash Kumar scored 46 runs. Mehul, who scored 46 runs and took three wickets for the winning team, was awarded the player of the match award.

Batting first after winning the toss, Bhanwar Pokhar CC scored 93 runs losing all wickets in 18.2 overs at Mangal Talab Ground. In reply, Navshakti Niketan’s team won the match by scoring 94 runs for seven wickets in 12 overs. Gunjan Gagan (41 runs, two wickets) of the winning team was awarded the player of the match award.
