Patna: Saloni Kumari of Purnia won the women’s singles title of the Li Ning Bihar State Senior Badminton Championships defeating Akanksha Pandey of Buxar in straight sets 22-20, 21-12 in Begusarai on Sunday.
Yash Bardhan of Muzaffarpur claimed the men’s singles defeating Ritesh Kumar of Bhagalpur 21-17, 21-12.
In the women’s doubles final, Saloni Kumari and Simran Singh (Purnia+Patna) beat Fiza Hasan and Sara Kausar (Kaimur+Patna) 21-13, 21-12.
The mixed doubles title went to Sidharth Bhushan and Akanksha Pandey. The Vaisahli and Buxar pair beat Ambuj Prakash and Vibha Kumari (Jehanbad+Patna) 21-18, 21-11.
Aryan Pratap and Tabrez (Both Patna) clinched the men’s doubles title beating Mayank Raj and Raj Aryan (Nawada) 21-10, 21-15.
Later, in a glittering function, prizes were distributed. Bihar Badminton Association secretary KN Jaisawal and office-bearers of Begusarai District Badminton Association were present on the occasion.
