UP govt instructs pulses traders to declare weekly stock on the portal

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has issued directives to senior officials of the Department of Food and Civil Supplies aimed at curbing hoarding and price hikes of pulses within the state. It has been stated that inspections and verifications of pulse traders should be conducted to effectively implement the revised stock limit announced by the Central Government.

Additionally, immediate registration on the portal should be done for those traders who have not registered yet. The government has also instructed all pulse traders to declare their weekly stocks on the designated portal.

Weekly stock announcement

Department official Alok Kumar mentioned that, in accordance with government directives, District Magistrates have been requested to ensure that dealers, importers, millers, stockists and traders working in the state should register themselves on the Government of India portal http://fcainfoweb.nic.in/psp and declare their weekly (every Friday) stock time to time.

As per the latest update, a total of 1,878 pulse traders are registered on the central government’s portal, and they have declared a total stock of 138,442 metric tons, which includes 24,686 metric tons of toor dal, 16,376 metric tons of urad dal, and 39,150 metric tons of masoor dal.

Instructions for early registration

Statistically, the least number of registrations have been done on the portal in Ambedkar Nagar 04, Amroha 04, Kannauj 05, Kasganj 06, Shravasti 06, Farrukhabad 07, Etawah 07, Amethi 09, Mainpuri 09 and Sultanpur 09 of Uttar Pradesh. Instructions have been given to expedite registration in these districts.
