Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has been actively engaged in campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections of late, on Tuesday, took time out of his busy schedule to perform cow service (goseva) at the Gorakhnath temple’s cowshed. He visited the cowshed, inquired about the well-being of cows, and personally fed them roti (bread) and jaggery.
The Chief Minister arrived in Gorakhpur following his campaign in Bihar on Monday. Prior to embarking on a fresh campaign trail in Western Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning, he offered prayers to Guru Gorakhnath at the Gorakhnath Temple and paid his respects at the samadhi site of his guru, Brahmaleen Mahant Avaidyanath.
Subsequently, the CM visited the cowshed at the temple and spent some time there. Walking around the cowshed, he called out to the cows by names like Shyama, Gauri, Ganga, and Bhola and they came running to him.
The Chief Minister affectionately patted each one and fed them roti and jaggery. He also gathered information from the cowshed workers about the health and nutrition of all the cows and issued necessary directives for special care during the summer season.
